What games have the developers made before? |
Daxter for PSP, GOW: Chains of Olympus for PSP and GOW: Ghost of Sparta for PSP. They also ported Okami for the Wii and the GOW collection II for the PS3. All games have a metacritic score of 84+. This is their first full fledged console game but their track record is pretty great

I disagree. It's easy to take the groundwork build on established franchises and just keep running with it. As long as you make GoW play like the already established GoWs, the game won't be "bad". If you or I knew how to develop games, we could easily make a "good" Red Dead Redemption 2, if we just take what the originals devs did and make a different story, but ultimately don't add to the RDD experience. That's how I feel about Daxter, Chains and Ghosts. Good games because they followed the formula that was already proven to work. Didn't mix it up, add a twist, or put their own spin on it. No, they just followed the formula.
But we know nothing of their own gameplay mechanics, their own creativity, etc, before The Order. So really, they don't even have a track record. We don't know "what types of games they make" because the only games they've made.....were somebody else's games
