When they show any real game play we can start talking...

Or do you guys remember this "in-engine" game?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qLGxubfC1Ik

And TLOU looks on-par with the footage.

Yep... the cut sceanes.

But for real game-play we have another ND E3 pearl.

Your showing game play that proves ND know how to produce good looking games, what point are you trying to make ?

On a console, why not. Naughty Dog have proved themselves time and time again that they are one of the best if not the best studio in the business.

It is always hard to finally judge a game grapically:
1. Art style
2. Technical level
2. a) Which resolution and frame-rate? Poly count?
2. b) Graphical glitches? fps dips?
2. c) General setting: Open world or corridor like?
2. d) Animations
2. e) How does it compare to other games?
2. f) What is real gameplay and what is cut-scene?
3. Personal favors
4. Agenda

Maybe a high end PC could match it in screenshots, but in motion, very few games will come close to uncharted. The level of detail ND put into the animations is incredible even for PS3 standards, and just looking at the trailer, theres no doubt they will differentiate themselves just as much on the PS4.

No. Its E3 Magic. It will NOT even come close. It will look good if not great, but not that E3 great.

Do you guys realize that ingame cutscene, even in realtime, has significantly more detailed graphics than normal gameplay? On Last of Us cutscene realtime models were much more detailed, and wasn't used during gameplay. Actually it took ps4 to use those ultra-detailed models in real gameplay. This is likely here - because during cutscene they know exactly what they need to render, they can put full power to just Drake's face and few trees.

I still think this will be best looking game when it comes out :)

This exactly.

They can pick and choose what to render in more detail, making in-game cutscenes look significantly better than actual gameplay

Except if you read OP you'd understand that Naughty Dog no longer uses pre-rendered cutscenes. Everything is real time. Ubisoft animation dev confirmed it as well as Eurogamer. But hey, who reads OP nowadays. Show me a pic of missed Skyrim that looks better? Don't worry I'll wait.

and if you read my post you will see that at no point do i say it is pre-rendered.

Using in game engine to render a cut scene creates higher quality output than straight up gameplay because there is less going on, less variables.

Current Game Machines: 3DS, Wii U, PC.

Currently Playing: X-Com(PC), Smash Bros(WiiU), Banner Saga(PC), Guild Wars 2(PC), Project X Zone(3DS), Luigis Mansion 2(3DS), DayZ(PC)

I don't get what you're getting at. The real time play is damned close to the in-engine cutscene. Obviously gameplay isn't gonna match the cutscenes 100%, but, using TLOU as an example, when the gameplay looks 90% as good as the cutscenes, what do you expect from UC4 after seeing the crazy graphics from its' (also) in-engine cutscene?

Of corse the game will be beautifull, I have no doubt that ND will deliver a great looking game.

Would it be the best looking for a console only game at it´s time?

Probably if ND goes to a full linear cinematic experience. But I hope not, seeing how cold reviewer are talking about "The Order 1886" and other exemples like "Ryse"...

ND proved they bring quality tons of times! Don't even dare to compare it with Ryze:(

Once you entered you won't be the same anymore. A blog about life.

Yes, but, Personal Computer gamers will deny that.

it'll probably be the best look console game for some time after it releases.
