No, this is to connect MC's story for Halo 5. It will have the terminals and missions that will give Halo 5 story information. Side stories have nothing to connect with.


Yeah I get that. A collection like this is not completely out of left field or anything, but my point was that it feels like every year we get more and more remakes of old game in lieu of new content.

I doubt we are going to see Halo 6 in 2016 so they have to have something to release that year, and a collection of Reach, ODST and Halo Wars would be the lazy/cheap option in place of making an original game. They have said that they want to release a Halo game every year if possible.

I think we just need to see how it settles, I mean the Destiny White PS4 console is at number 5... I mean a $60 game vs a $445 console/game... I think Halo is doing ok, but let's not get too over excited right now. Personally I find the console a more impressive feat.

PS I hope the white console comes out in the UK as i will be getting a second PS4..yay.

Lol at the "other" fans trying to downplay this. Halo is a massive franchise. You guys underestimate halo because you dont like it. Just wait for the holidays and you all will see how much of an impact halo can make.
Halo is just an epic franchise! Halo 2 MP? That alone speaks for itself...

No one is denying that Halo is an important franchise, but I think people are overestimating the effect this collection will have. I'm not sure it will be the system seller a lot of people are expecting.

I like Halo.  I've played it a ton.  Still not buying an X1 for games I've already played to death.  A new Halo (if it's good) will move many more systems.  This will pale in comparison to how many systems the Destiny bundle pushes for the PS4.

I like Halo.  I've played it a ton.  Still not buying an X1 for games I've already played to death.  A new Halo (if it's good) will move many more systems.  This will pale in comparison to how many systems the Destiny bundle pushes for the PS4.

So destiny will push consoles but halo won't? lol

Well maybe you are right since there will be a ps4 + destiny bundle. Plus the crazy marketing sony is doing for destiny, must of spend a big penny for it.

Destiny is a new game, MCC isn't. Remasters/ports will always push their share of consoles (some more than others) but never anything comparable to big new games.
