You cannot really compare The Last of Us to the scale of Halo... Actually 4 of them...

Also 343i is just putting a lot of production value (they are not just porting it) to a simple game port?
I believe this is not even a contest to be honnest...

Why would they?  The Last of Us single and multiplayer plus all the DLC remastered for PS4 is perfectly reasonable for full price, it just happens that MS have put this collection together for an incredible value. If we compare all games to this, then $30 would be too much for a new AAA game

This is where I disagree. Paying $60 for a game you played less than a year ago with better textures (overall a better looking game) and such does not justify $60 IMO, even if it does include DLC.

The last of us is the better game but the Halo collection is an amazing deal

Halo is definitely the better value although I'm more into The Last of Us personally. I most likely won't buy either since I have a PS4 and already played TLOU last summer, but if you have an XOne you better buy the Master Chief Collection. It would be great if the MGS series did this. I'd buy that.

I do not the comparison here, but have zero interest in Halo so Last of Us wins by default.

No matter how much content they add to TLOU, there is no real comparison. Taken as single entities, TLOU wins, but together? Halo takes that cake.

No one is forcing anyone else to buy both versions.  As a standalone product it's worth it I think

halo hands down as a PS only fan even i am jealous of the halo collection 4 games remastered with all dlcs 1080p 60fps with MP

its still baffles me that to this day sony aint got nothing on the scale of the halo series and even gears, i could say that MGS is a contender of close or equal epicness of those 2 series but thats multiplat now

god of war uncharted and tlou are others i still feel there not on the same scale and considering that sony started the PS back in 95 theres no excuses that almost 20yrs later you cant get the same exclusive mega franshise experience that are halo and soon to be gears
