This probably needs to sell atleast 10 million copies to break even from this 7 year developement cost. The sad thing is like shadow of the colossus and ICO it's going to be an amazingly beautiful game and will only sell maybe 1 million copies.

I dont think Sony cares if theyll make any money in this game anymore, when they decided to not pull the plug and convert it into a PS4 game they knew it was gona be impossible to make money in this project, what they want is a great game to get both Japanese and Western gamers excited, restore ppls trust in Team ICO and help push more PS4 consoles. This is more or less the same thing Square Enix did with FF XIV (altough on Squares case they probably did end up making money) they invested throngs of money into remaking FF XIV to recuperate fan support/trust in the company.

IGN is an embarassment, such amateurish reporting, they have been doing thid a lot, especially with regards to sony. Saying sonys studios are in trouble, cannot see difference between 720p and 1080p, letting Ryan Xbox fanboy say drive club from his memory looks a little worse then forza (LOL). They are in bed with MS.

This is true ign changed their alligence this gen. But the surprising fact is, why did they do it? A pro sony site has turned against them.

Glad I'm not the only one who noticed. Maybe it's for clicks? At least they apologized for The Last Guardian mess up.

Internet peplz upset, IGN apologizes. Something tells me they would never apologize for an error related to Nintendo because the uproar wouldn't be the same. Some camps are, really, more vocal. And I'm not talking about Sony fans because there are nice ones, but there is a group of vocal cyber citizens who stand for Sony and can cause a news source as big as IGN to apologize.

It's weird.

So  IGN shouldn't have apologized?

It was Sony themselves and ND developer that  called them out. Not just the fans.

This wasn't just some minor mishap. It was flatout trolling.  Their timing was horrible, and they said it was "official" as if confirmed by Sony. We are talking about the most anticipated game ever by Sony fans, 2 days before the supposed reveal.

IGNs own reputation was on the line here. You simply don't drop major bombs like that and expect to get away with it.

To put the gravity of their mistake in persepective, it'd be like IGN claiming to  have official confirmation from Nintendo that they're going third party, when they really have none.

Glad that IGN apologized, but the damage is already done and the magnitude of it is immense. The IGN I once knew ten years ago is nothing like what it is now. The sheer bias and amateurish writing the site is infested with just turns me off.

I'm beginning to wonder if IGN did this on purpose to force a response from Sony. Plenty of attention for the site... Right before E3. Clickbait and promotion, right before they stream the biggest video games expo of the year? Hmm.

A little sus and honestly, clever.

And now we won't hear a word about the game until next generation, where it will be confirmed that it is, in fact, still in development and will be released at the same time as Half-Life 3.

Has anyone said you can't spell ignorance without IGN yet?
