They're having enough trouble just getting people to buy the one gamepad!
Selling a GamePad seperately could be really bad though. People already think it's an add on for the wii and if they see it without another console in the box they're really screwed!

Thanks for all the great memories!

Probably not. I guess those 2 pads are connected to two different consoles to make switching between software faster.
If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.
I think it's more likely that they're hooked up to two different consoles so they can show off some sort of online functionality.
It's very possible. especialy when they said they are making games that use the gamepad a lot.
Doubt it, I don't think Nintendo wants the Gamepad on store shelves. A $100+ controller could turn parents away from buying the console.
Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

Probably, yes. Although I have to admit: I still don't own a Wii U (don't have the money currently), but I bought MK8 and borrowed the system + SM3DW for 2 days. And I preferred playing on a normal controller over the Gamepad.
Not a huge difference, but I thought to myself: Well at least for these games it wouldn't matter if Wii U came with no Gamepad... interesting. Add to this that I'm a big fan of the Wii / Nunchuck combo (for ergonomy), and all of a sudden I find myself in the Michael-Pachter-just-give-me-a-cheap-Wii-HD camp. o.O
I reckon we're at least a year away (and a hefty turn around in fortunes) from any dual gamepad games, Christmas 2016 at earliest.
