Well, but it's not like  The Last of Us 2 a bad thing.

it actually is. The Last of Us was a great coherent and complete Story. And if they just want a game to be set in this world. That would be a huge waste of ND´s talent. I mean the world is just another Zombie World after all. 


Actually, The Last of Us had ended in a manner that would lead itself to a much larger future. You see...

If Ellie had died the story would've ended because a cure would've been created.

Why? We already have Nintendo for that. Let Naughty Dog do what they're good at. PS4 fans want that too.


Naughty Dog was the only Sony developer that was actually good at making platformers outside of Team ICO. If Mark Cerny was still with Naughty Dog full time Knack wouldn't exist and we would have another classic platformer. Uncharted is partially a platformer, so that goes to show they continue to harness the gift.

Yeah but that was the point of the ending. The Devs themself have said if there is an TLOU2 it wont be with Ellie and Joel it will be with new Characters

 

The point of the ending was the ambiguity it was intendet for us not to know what happens further down the road. They chose it because they wanted the consumer to think about it, interpret themselves. I mean not every AAA has to be creativly crippled but multiple sequels, and we don´t need always a definitive ending. Sometimes its better not to know what exactly happens.

I blame Legacy of Kain / 3D Prince of Persia, myself. They took the platformer label and applied it to something more fitting of the description "struggle to scale a ziggurat then swear like a soldier when you miss a jump or QTE and must waste another half an hour just to get back to where you made a mistake". But "Platformer" rolls off the tongue better.

Ico wishes it could be compared with 3D Prince of Persia. The platforming elements of PoP are oh-so-much-fun.

Both games share a pretty dull and boring combat though, too bad. But Prince of Persia doesn't have a nonsensical/pointless excuse for a plot, so there you go.

UC4 is coming soon and we already know about it. I am sure footage will be revealed of the gameplay at Sony's E3 press conference. This is another game because Sony split Naughty Dog up into two teams. There is a rumor that the Last of Us 2 has already been started but nothing has been confirmed. I am thinking, new IP. Sony is big on creating new IP's every gen so I am going to place my bet on that.
