Yeah enough said right?
DriveClub is the better and more beautiful game.
DriveClub is pure NextGen
Which will score higher? If the reviewers know their shit they give DC the higher score
More interesting is which will sell more

If gifs are off i don't know how to fix them btw - Damn phone has no preview

Yes, DC looks amazing but people are not sold on the gameplay and content by now...

This has nothing to do with reviewers and criticizing them. It's the same reviewers that gave TLoU high 90s so there is no need by now to say they won't judge objectively.

So after new info is out for every game:
Did you change your opinion? For me it still looks like Forza Horizon 2 will win the meta-score by at least 5 points.
Especially after reading this: http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2014-08-19-forza-horizon-2-proves-the-driving-genre-is-back-at-its-best

I'm a little bit less hyped after reading that pr piece. My biggest gripe with the first one is still there, the music festival. And every time I see another video where cars don't seem to make much, if any, difference between on and off road or plowing through fields I get a little less excited. Just losing a bit of speed from a head on collision is still there too. And the walled off Burnout paradis like stunt area at the end of the first video looks pretty bad.
It looks very much like a full arcade racer, but it neither has the ridiculous sense of speed of NFS/Burnout nor the crashes, where is the danger.

80 for Driveclub. the others can get anything between 0 and 100 and i still won't care
same for The Crew, which i can already give 10/100 after playing the horrendous beta.
DC content will never be an issue for me, i had more fun with Sega Rally and Daytona USA than nearly every racer nowadays and look how much content those games had. Barely anything.
All i want is straighforward get-in-there and get to the finish line. To me making a open world racer is like making a football game without a stadium. Or something like that.

I don't know much about racing games, and my predictions shouldn't be worth much, but I'll do it anyway.
Forza Horizon will probably suffer being cross-gen, and sering how the main series entry scored, i say 79.

Driveclub, on the other hand, seems like a very promising game, and will be another of many 90+ scoring PS4 games - 92.

Project CARS will probably score dome extra points being an indie game - 83.

Also, there is The Crew that wasn't mentioned. Actually a racing game I find interesting in concept - racing across the USA instead of in an endless circle. The only game I actually consider playing down the line. But it probably won't be that great - 81.

FH: 72

Driveclub: 95

Project Cars: 88

: P

Forza Horizon: 82
DriveCulb: 71
Project Cars: 84

I know what you mean. I could be stuck for days on a track in arcade racers, and really got that adrenaline going when finally everything went right after learning all the ins and outs of the track. Open world has its charm but every race starts to feel the same, merely a checklist item to complete. There is no reward for winning, no new location or track, just the next ribbon in an already familiar setting. And although the setting gets (too) familiar after a while, you never really get to learn the tracks. Oh now we're going right here, it all looks the same after a while.

There have been too many open world racers lately, time for some well crafted tracks that you can really familiarize yourself with in vastly different locations. Back to racing without keeping one eye on the gps.
