Ooh, very exciting. A Wii U without the gamepad I wonder?

I hope not

That would give them the ability to drop the price substantially, and have two sku's. $299 vs $199, then we can see if that makes any difference whatsoever. I dont see them doing this though. My bets are on a 3dsi, or 3dsixl, or both. If they do the xli, I will get one the day it comes out.

I think we can rule out any major console news because of a lack of foresight, hype build up and the fact the new gen just started; My best guess would be a console/handheld revision or Nintendos NFC, neither of which is particularly interesting to me at this point in time.

Considering the Tonight Show w/ Jimmy Fallon just last night I would say this is no doubt Project Morpheus.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Got a retro room? Post it here!

no way. it needs games to go along with it. and they announced it at GDC to get developers on board. no way are devs gonna be ready by end of the year. its late 2015 at the latest.

Wii U Redesign would be nice.

A Wii U for £150 ($200) with no GamePad would fly off the shelves. I could guarantee that. No doubt Nintendo have figured that out too, so it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest.

No it would not. The gamepad is the only interesting thing on it, since the specs are so last-gen. But the tablet looks so clumsy, ugly, fat and childish so noone buys. If they have a toy kind of price for a toyish console, lets say 99 €, it can move numbers but not at their current price and not at your suggested price.

They could launch it with Driveclub.

But it's a start.

How many games supported move at launch? (honest question)

Woah man why so negative? The recent MK8 launch shows that people are willing to buy the system if it's advertised well and has decent games, so a lower price will only encourage more people to pick one up.

Also the Wii U is far from a "toyish" console. Far from it.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.
