With loads of new content and all the new Pokémon... Plus better graphics. I'd buy all Metroid Prime games again if they remade them on Wii U...

Where is the skill? Any one competent programmer on Earth could add all that stuff to the base R/S/E ROM, given the X/Y assets. (Minus the 3D perspective, but really this level of pseudo-3D was possible on the PS1 and would not be tolerated as a selling point in any other game series)

Yeap, pokemon is probably the best remakes in terms of new content and isnt just a port like many others. HG/SS proved that and so did FR/LG. OR/AS already is proving it with just this first update that its not exactly a remake :)

So "Mega Sceptile" = not the same game? Is it that easy to fool you?

Fool Me? Really such low tactics -_- First of all there is more than 1 (already 7 new pokemon forms) That we currently kno of and there will be more. Im srry but the game isnt even out yet and you claim its the same when in fact the other two remakes are alot diffierent than the originals

I consider X/Y to be the exact same game as B/W, B/W 2, D/P/P, R/S/E, HG/SS, FR/LG and G/S/C.

You have eight gyms, you have an Elite Four, you start in a smaller town with a Pokemon Professor named after a tree, you go along a series of routes battling individual trainers with Pokemon you caught. the story is about a "rival" and a "Team", you beat a Champion and then the credits roll.

And you spend $40 every two years to get this with all the names and half of the sprites swapped out. And you get hyped when it's announced that - WOW - some game element looks SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT TO BEFORE.

Oh, then you're wrong. That's not an opinion. That's a fact. There are major core fundemental differences between them all.

What you describe is a template core to the franchise. You start in a town because you have to start somewhere, and most people live in towns. Some live in cities. Pokemon games have started there too. There are gyms and and elite four because that's how the national Pokemon league is run. You don't see sports like Soccer or Baseball change the rules because "it's the same thing every year." That would be stupid.

You battle trainers with Pokemon you caught because no one would buy a Pokemon game where you couldn't battle trainers and you couldn't catch Pokemon. The story is not about a "rival" and a "team." Those are just present elements in the game. You have a rival because you wouldn't not have a rival. There's an evil team because every story boils down to good vs. evil. Getting worked up because Pokemon is calling their evil "team" again misses the point. Each organization has completely different goals than the last, and the only thing they share in common is being called "team." Al Qaeda could be called Team Al Qaeda, and they'd have as much in common as any one Pokemon team has to another.

And that's just me dubunking your "similarities."

So you're objectively wrong, and if you've ever purchased more than one game, movie, or book in any franchise in your entire life, you're also objectively a hypocrite.

Great news! Now i dont even know which starter to choose anymore!

Seven new sprites you say? Completely different, I am utterly convinced that this is a new game now.

Sounds even better than Heartgold and Soulsilver

Yep.

The protagonists look like a downgrade from their original designs. O_o. Steven still looks like Steven though.

I don't think you've ever played a pokémon remake... They're not ports of the original, in this case they've used the X/Y engine to recreate Hoenn, and add content which first appeared in the DS games or X/Y.

You can almost say it's Pokemon X/Y in Hoenn, but then again Hoenn is a very different place than Kalos. Don't talk bad about things you obviously don't know anything about.

Yep.
