@bananaking

The OP was which FRANCHISE will be biggest. Not which game.

Titanfall 2 will be a huge hit on the PS4, and I reckon it'll usurp COD as the annual snorefest by the end of 2016.

I dislike how you seem to degrade (correct me if I'm wrong of course) some people just because they enjoy a certain type of games. Gamers are gamers, no matter if you play the fourteenth installment of Call of Duty or ICO.

come on man, dont give that nonsense to me. im so much better than the likes of NikkoM!!

i see i read it wrong.

still WD will be bigger than TF. at least thats how i see it. WD just surprised me a lot. it wont reach GTA levels of sales, but really, nothing will.

I reckon Titanfall, unfortunately.

It just seems to appeal to the lowest common denominator in gaming; the dudebro who if happy to buy the same game every single year as long as it has 3 or 4 new maps and maybe a new teabagging animation.

Watch Dogs is already bigger than TitanFall. they arent even on the same league.

OP: Destiny will likely be the biggest, however, the Division might beat it because it will have a much bigger next gen install base to release on. no exclusive has a chance to compete btw.

Isn't the division directed towards Fallout fanbase ? I don't think it could be as successful as a GTAlike or FPS

Destiny most likely, even if the game turns of to be average, which seems to be the case imo, it wouldn't affect the launch. The hype and preorder numbers are already unmatched.

Times are changing. The Division seem to be a connected open world shooter, same like Destiny, except that its a third person shooter. which seems to be all the rage lately. open world games are becoming more and more popular, and a connected world seems to be where the open world franchises are moving towards.

WatchDogs.

Destiny will do similar like TitanFall imo.

The game has faaaaaar more pre orders than Watch Dogs at the same point ( and without even a delay to help it ) , it's very unlikely.

So you think a MMO is gonna have better legs to have the game become a series with multiple sequels? lol.

I wonder how much they are gonna charge people monthly for it. When I see Destiny - I feel its gonna end up more like Elder Scrolls online in the long run.

This thread is about the new ip, not sequel.
You just explained why Destiny will sell much more than Watch Dogs, because it wont have sequel before a long time being a MMO, so it'll have great legs, and even the launch will be far bigger than Watch Dogs. We know Destiny is the most pre ordered game of the year so....

and Destiny doesnt charge people monthly, you are not well informed on this game

Predictions for end of 2014 HW sales:

 PS4: 17m   XB1: 10m    WiiU: 10m   Vita: 10m

Im expecting between 5 and 6 Million from Destiny, Week 1.

Gonna be gigantic.

At least. More if the Beta is good.

Watch Dogs did 4 million. This will crush that IF the beta is good. Im honestly nervous about the gameplay

Destiny, no doubt

I dunno, looks fine to me.

Bungie have always put gameplay before anything else so I aint too worried. What we have seen so far looks solid.
