So they set up part of their booth - complete with signs - nearly a week early and left it uncovered for all the world to see?

Do you really think they wait until the day before to put up everything?

This is obviously like previous years and whomever took that photo was probably contractor hired to setup. We've had similar leaks in previous E3s. Usually with signs partially covered but you can still tell what it is. NSMBWii and U happened like that.

making mario more and more like LBP i see. :P

i kid i kid. it is a good idea to add a level editor and the touch screen(wiiu or 3DS) should make things pretty easy.

Little Big Planet is a rip off of Mega Man Powered up

I think, based on what I've heard they've been doing since the NSMB Wii leak half a decade ago, that they're much more cautious about hiding stuff, and that putting up a sign of the game(s) so far in advance, uncovered to the entire floor, is not something they would do. Especially this early, when they've probably barely started unloading pallets and setting up tables. Remember how they've been curtaining off the entire section until opening day?

So yes, I really think they wait until the day before before putting up everything.

When New Super Mario Bros. Wii was leaked, they actually had a sheet over the display...and it still leaked. It is interesting that they're not even trying to hide this one. Maybe they don't mind this kind of minor reveal because it gets people talking about them anyway.

I do hope this is a WiiU Shop game, though. It could start a great franchise with subsequent releases taking us to places like Donkey Kong, Kirby, Kid Icarus, and do I dare say, Metroid. Oh, I can dream, right?

Really, I just hope that they allow a single level to be as big as I want to make it, so I can start working on that Metroid in Mario's clothing I've been thinking about for so long.

Who said its uncovered to the entire floor? Or that maybe someone made a mistake and didn't drape stuff over this sign in particular?

I see curtains in the back. This clearly is someone standing on the inside of their booth area.

Is the person you got this from an actual worker at E3, or are they someone with "inside info"?

How would you explain the photo then, NoName? I personally don't care for this leak as it's not something I would go out of my way to play, but it looks to be real. I mean, how could someone fake this?

The photo says it's uncovered to the entire floor, unless they've rented half the showroom this time around (we know they haven't). I concede that there may have been some monumental blunder on someone's part that exposed the booth, but I feel compelled to point out that since 2009 the only views we've had of their booth prior to the opening looked like this, or like this, and that even the NSMB Wii reveal was attempted to be hidden.

For example, this is what the floor looks like as of early this morning.

'Nuthing but pallets and walls, pallets and walls...

With time and patience, and probably not much of either really. It's a grainy, low-res shot, which as far as I can tell hasn't been picked up by the main blogs and whose original source is MIA. Not saying it's 100% fake, but I'm taking it with a rock of salt.
