Wait I'm confused, I thought we were discussing how much hardware the game will sell, I don't think anyone here doubted the next Zelda game will sell at least a million. People just don't expect Zelda to push as much hardware as Mario Kart, and I kinda get that. It really depends on how much Nintendo decides to show us, they may very well blow people away with the trailer and it could very well bring back some of those fans who kinda gave up. you never know.

I'm glad Nintendo just added to their winning formula of Mario Kart instead of attempting to reinvent the game. If it's broke don't fix it.

It happens, we all make mistakes. Two years ago I thought the Wii U would be slightly under Wii sales by this point and I was severly wrong :P

I think Metroid Prime will increase the sales, but only for those gamers like me that like FPAs anywhere.

For that matter, most Smash fans consider the Wii U version the "real" game, and rightly so. Most people who want to pick up the 3DS, are either just too cheap/poor to buy a Wii U right now, or plan on getting both, and just like the idea of "Smash on the Go". No one seriously prefers the 3DS version, however.

Don't judge that yet. Some people also prefer Lost World on 3DS so I don't see why nobody at all would prefer the 3DS version.

I've said it a million times, and maybe now people will believe me: games or design or naming have NEVER been the Wii U's problem. SM3W is easily a better game than MK8 for example. The problem has been the awful marketing and failure on Nintendo's part to build hype. That's what made the PS4 an out of the gate hit. Not the games of system design, the hype. MK8 was the first Wii U game Nintendo finally got the memo to build proper hype and buzz for and create awareness for it. And it payed off big time. Now they just need to remember to do that with their future heavy hitters and the Wii U will be in great shape.

Have you doubted that their no. 1 IP would do that?

WiiU's design problem is not if it sells MK or not - the problem is that it is not Wii (or something that hits that spot) OR it is not what 3rd parties wanted.
