Forums - Nintendo - Would you like the new Wii U zelda to be like A Link between worlds?

No 3D zelda really interests me. They've had ample tries with a 3D zelda and have never once given me the same feeling I got playing any of the 2D version. I dunno if I have it in me to give it another try, especially given how bad the Wii U is.

The only possible exception is if they just completely take a left turn and give it to a studio like From Software and make a gritty game with very tight controls. That will never happen though.

A warrior keeps death on the mind from the moment of their first breath to the moment of their last.

I would prefer it if it were something completely different story wise, and if they also mixed up the formula a little so much the better.

In ALBW they did something new, and I hope that they make something new this time too.

Yep.

Just in 3D though....of course. If Nintendo even dared putting a 2D Zelda on the Wii U or another kiddy looking one I would throw my Wii U at something! Like a pillow or a couch. It would be thrown though!

So what say you? Would you like them to to this?

Yes, I stole this thread from twitter.

Uhhhh, so you mean overhead view?

If that is the question, than no. I would prefer a full 3D behind Link cam game.

Gotta figure out how to set these up lol.

A Link between Worlds was great, though I don't know what you mean by like. You mean the gameplay, artstyle, or theme?

I want it to have TP graphics, deep characters are those in MM and a story as good as OoT's.

Not particularly, but I trust EAD3. They can do whatever they want. I'll give their game a fair shake.

Dang! That's some wicked fanart! I still haven't played ALBW, but from what I hear, it would make pretty awesome game if they used a lot of it's elements for a console title -- of course, they'd have to increase the scale.

I also want to travel by land, air, and sea. It's time we had all three in one game. Make it happen Nintendo!

After Skyward Sword, I'd settle for it just being good...

I believe in honesty, civility, generosity, practicality, and impartiality.

Yes you will have your "mature, dark, gritty, realistic" open world Zelda in 3D.

Mario Plattformers can be enjoyed in both 2D and 3D,
Metroid Action works (more or less) In both 2D and 3D,
Zelda adventure exist in both 2D and 3D.

I see no reason to why there cant be two Zeldas every generation, or even three:
one 3D, one 2D and one TPS Zelda (Hyrule Warriors)

To be even more adventurous I can see a Fixed Camera Animal Crossing + a Third Person Animal Crossing, a Fixed Camera Pikmin + a Third Person Pikmin.
I can even buy a isometric Mario Kart (micro machines style).
