Sony Has The Most Number of Booths At This Year’s E3

E3′s floor map has been revealed.

With just under a week to go for the biggest gaming expo of the year, the floor plan has been finalized. With close to 200 exhibitors attending this year’s E3 and tons of games at display, the show is expected to be nothing but stellar.

Apparently Sony will have the most number of booth at this year’s E3. They will have 8 [3 game +5 meeting] booths compared to two [1 game + 1 meeting] from Microsoft and three [3 game booths] from Nintendo. Although this does not mean that Sony will have the best games or they will dominate the show, it does indicate that Sony are pushing hard to have an increased presence at this year’s E3. It’s also important to note that we are only talking about the big three here so there might be other publishers which have more than 8, but we searched and did not found one.

Are you looking forward to this year’s E3? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.

booths where you meet someone

Those meeting booth figures are completely false. All 3 have several meeting rooms. Not all get displayed on the floor map. Don't forget that some of the booth space is also reserved as meeting space.

Booth numbers are misleading too because they are not all the same size.

The rEVOLution is not being televised

i like this. sony ar really making sure they stay dominating this gen. Expectations are pretty high this time around, for all 3 companies.

like a champagne room, place for sony to court the favor of indies with sexual indiscretions.

Completely misleading statistics. Look at the size of the booths; the floor space is more important than the number.

Also, each company has multiple meeting booths; but I suppose not all show up on the floor plan. Still, looking at that article you'd think Sony had like 2-3x as much space as MS and Nintendo; this really isn't the case. All are very roughly the same size; to my eye Nintendo has the most space but that could be me.

Sony has a bunch of additional booths in the West Permanent Meeting Rooms section of the floor plan...its still not really a huge deal as I feel like Game booths are far more important than meeting booths and size is more important that number...

I believe these are rooms where companies have behind closed door showings for some of their games.  I've been to these for Sony, but I have no idea how many Nintendo or MS have.

Yeah I see them but regardless. As you say, size is more important than number, quite easily. Also you could have a massive booth and have 100 demo kits of Kinectimals taking up the entire thing; this really does tell us nothing.

Still, only a week to go!!!
