Those are PS1 games you want to play right? The PS3 is backward compatible with PS1 discs if you could get a hold of them instead.

Nah

I don't really keep old games. The only games that i ever keep are the games of that current specific gen.

I was pretty much just thinking about getting all the ps1 games i used to play

Right now i have

Spyro

Spyro Riptos Rage

Spyro Year Of The Dragon

Crash Bandicoot

Crash Bandicoot 2

Crash Bandicoot Warped

Crash Team Racing

Final Fantasy 7,8 and 9

The other games i want to get are

Frogger PS1

Parappa The Rapper

Sheep Raider

Ape Escape

Legend Of Dragoon

Rayman PS1

Legend Of Legaia

Medievil

Megaman X4

But most of these games haven't been released on PSN yet and i'm definitely not going to get the original copies. I just want the digital versions on ps3.

Yea its not even that serious, mighty pissed off for something so trivial.

Damn straight!

I get mad when something so simple and something that should be a given is not applied.

You would think that Sony would have all their in house ps1 classics on PSN at this point. The PS4 has released before Sony was able to release their ps1 classics on PSN.

They have Medievil ps1 and the psp remake on PSN so where's the original Ape Escape and Parappa The Rapper along with those remakes on PSN? They both sold better than Medievil. ..makes no damn sense

These motherfuckers have Um Jammer Lammy(a prequel to Parappa The Rapper) as a Ps1 classic but not Parappa The Rapper itself? ..stop it

I'll tell you right now, you're never going to see Megaman X4 on PSN. It's English voice cast are not co-operating with Capcom.

Now, I'm sure it's possible to be released. Probable? No. That game came out in 1997, it would have been out on PSN by now. Releasing Rockman X4 as a Japanese import may be an option, but, that title might carry the same issue.

If you have a problem with owning disc versions of those games, then, that's your loss.

Sounds like you just need to buy a vita and all your problems will be solved...

Play on PC, problem solved.

...Let the Sony Domination continue with the PS4...

Well what did you expect?

Also, I'm pretty sure Sony's digital backwards compatibility library absolutely eclipses Nintendo and Microsoft's.

Can PSP games be played on Vitas?

If the PSP game is available on the PS Store, then yeah the Vita can play it.

This isn't true.  Some PSP games can be purchased on the PS Store through PS3 or PC but can't be transferred over to the Vita.  Here's a complete list of all PSN games playable on the PSP and whether they can be played on the Vita or not.  It's color coded as to which ones aren't playable at all, playable only by purchasing it through the PS3 then transfering it to the Vita, or purchasable by the Vita.

Its been like this for years mate, how'd you not know? It's preety obvious the a PsP/PSV game wouldn't work on the PS3 as it would hinder the sales of the handheld systems. Your best bet is to get a vita or a psp(super cheap now)

Ps1 classics should all work on the PS3 and a majority on the PSV

I too wonder why these games aren't available on PSN but I think it's due to licensing issues. I've read that publishers have to renew a lot of licenses if they want to release a former physical game through digital services. That's why old games sometimes come with different/incomplete soundtracks.

Legend Of Dragoon, Rayman and Medievil are available though but I think you're aware of that.
