Not really. I tried out the Oculus Rift two months ago and the demo they had was really cool but there were some things which I didn't like. The first thing differs from person to person, the girl before me had no problems with the Rift but the entire time I used it I felt very disoriented and slightly nauseous. The demo I tried out was the Super Mario 64 castle tour. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nxdBhV42JKc) Talking to the guys who had the device, apparently they were going to have a racing demo but during testing one of the guys almost threw up after he did a flip at high speed.
On the topic of the castle tour, I used a 360 controller since they didn't have a treadmill. So because of that, the only thing the Rift did for me was use my head as the second analog stick. I assume that's how most people who buy the Rift or Sony's VR will play unless you want to stick a treadmill in your living room.
The second thing is the novelty fades away after a while, it was really cool the first time I tried it but after experiencing it I think I'd rather stick to being able to sit comfortably, in front of a TV and not have to worry about this thing strapped to my face.
