it sure is not for the ever fearful "omg people could view me as a moron" crowd

I'm pretty excited, but I'm also aware that with just a single 1080p display the experience won't be flawless and even if the Rift consumer version has a 1440p display that might not be enough to get rid of the "screen door" effect caused by not enough pixel density in the center of your field of view.

I have a pretty weak PC to boot, so the PS4/Morpheus combo probably is the more affordable option for me to own VR, but I fear it can't do all the things I'd like a VR set for (it would be awesome if I could use it as a 3DTV substitute aswell - there already are apps for the Devkit1 Rift that can do that, but again with the set back of low resolutions).
