Not that I think this'll happen, but who would seriously think that GTA5 would sell 10 million on X1?

I dont think there is any chance of this, but how have we got the figure of $5 billion dollars. After all of the costs involved in releasing/manufacturing a game, it generally works out at what $16 a game sold goes to the company... so 10 million would be...... (I'll let you work it out)...

I'll ask again...how did we come to the $5 billion...lol.

He just made up a random number... basically the gist of what he was trying to say is "Oooh Sony are way too poor for that"

No chance. Sony would not be able to afford the buy out. It sold to over 10 million Xbox Gamers. Can Sony afford $ 5 billion right now? Not even close.

He came to the $5 billion with his fanboy mind. His logic: Sony timed exclusive = $5 billion, Microsoft exclusive = 10 million LMAO

Guess it depends on how serious Sony believe paying someone for games when they have so many studios making them is for them... the game would have to be really worth it. Thats the real question... and for MS, they can certainly afford it, but if you have a *good* game its going to cost alot then a studio is unlikely to allow them to do it unless they pay through the nose.

So I guess I don't think the games will be that "big". I mean i know there was some internet melting a Bayonetta, but I (and many others) were like ok great. It depends on that type of scale. Rainbow six would be like that for example. it would be like Yeah whatever :)

Of course you are right, they could afford it if they wanted to, the question is just, like you've said, if buying that exclusivity would be worth it for any of the parties involved, I'd say it wouldn't be.

Saying that Sony is too poor for that is just trying to stir the pot.

I've always found his "Sony are too poor" comments pretty amusing. All that money and an extra year on the market and the PS3 still ended up with more major exclusives than the 360

I just hope they bring gta5 to pc and/or ps4

It's like some people think that Sony can barely pay the wages of their workers or something. Sure Sony is not doing exceptionally well financially, but that does not mean that they literally have no money to invest in projects (e.g. third party exclusives), they'll just think harder about if those projects will pay off for them, then maybe MS does.

If Sony lands that, it'd just be crazy. MS is already dead, why keep beating them down?

No, just no

Meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeh!!
