Forums - Nintendo - nintendo the gap widens

You can get 4 pro controllers. That's the best controller to play with. I think I saw some fake pro controllers on ebay for 1/4 the cost of a real one and they look exactly the same so you should get that.

The gamepad is a little annoying to use and its silly to put the map on it cause you can't look at it whist racing.

Mehh What me and my friends do is label the gamepad as the special needs controller for MK8... In other words, who ever loses gets to use the gamepad and be labeled as the pussy that isn't skilled enough to use the real mens controller!

Ha, did the same with NSMBU where the less skilled player was let to put blocks on the screen. Although he got back at us by killing us with well placed blocks.

The GamePad doesn't give anyone an advantage at all, does it? Unless I'm missing something..?

I can play the game just fine with the gamepad even using the gyro controls. In fact give me any controller and i will have nailed it after a couple of goes. Its took me 30 years and tons of experience with different controllers to become this good. :)

Nope none... I guess they just find it more comfortable than the pro-controller and its contemporaries. I kinda do too, but its still no Gamecube controller.

I can't see the point of this thread tbh. This guy's friends must be insane tbh, all of the controllers are the same, none give you any advantage over any of the others.

When I saw the thread title I just thought it was addressing the gap in quality between Nintendo titles and third party titles. Better IQ, less bugs, better gameplay and better value for money all round. That's generally why they sell better on Nintendo systems.

Nunchuk and wiimote works well enough. If held close enough together, it feels like the gamecube setup because the button layout is in the same position. (Steering with left thumb, gas on right thumb, drift on right index, item on left index.) It looks like it wouldn't be the same but one adjusts fairly quickly.

3 options.

1. Use the same controllers and play a great game
2. Don't use the same controllers and play a great game
3. Don't play a great game.

In no way am I saying "Great game" to make the first two options sound better.

Step 1): Go to Amazon.
Step 2): Search WiiU Pro Controller
Step 3): Add X (= number of players) WiiU or Nyko Pro Controller(s) to basket.
Step 4): (Optional) Order a WiiU and/or Mario Kart 8.
Step 5): Ship next day.
Step 6): Enjoy Mario Kart 8.
