But implying they are inferior is.

Just imagine if they had beat an African team or something and done a similar thing about them...

the honest and true meaning of that chant and walk is "they are sad and hanging their heads, while we are retardedly happy" - there is absolutely no notion of racism in it

Ok, in that case it isn't as bad as I thought. One of the posts above said something like 'this is how the guachos walk and this is how the germans walk' and 'you suck, we rule'. That sounds racist. But saying they are sad and we are happy doesn't.

It's the same.

By your logic every negative thing said to someone not your own race is racism.

which is literally impossible anyway, because by any objective measure there is only one human race

I suppose so, you win, not racism.

Although did you see the African supporters doing 'whiteface'? Doesn't bother me, I just think it's funny. Does bothers me that everyone makes a big deal out of it when it's white guys doing 'blackface' but when it's the other way round nothing is mentioned.

It's always about intent. Even black or white face isn't racist if it isn't intended as such. People are just too eager to jump at anything throwing their -isms at it to make them sound smart or to make the thing seem worse than it is.

Let's play Spot the Difference.

I hate all black people because they are inferior to my race -> racism

I hate all black people because they're less suscepteable to skin cancer -> not racism

But anyway, this thread is about the World Cup. It was a really good one Germany were great and worthy champions and I just hope the next World Cup is as entertaining as this one.

Probably. Only a 374 days until the qualifying draw :)

When you say it like that it sounds depressing. The sooner we know the qualifying matchups the better, gotta anticipate some pre-World Cup shocks. Really tough qualifying group for England and I'll get to laugh

Well there is still the Euro 2016 for which the first qualifying games start in 54 days!!

I said the words they were saying and how some interpreted it as being unsporting to brag about winning.  I never said they were racist, unless you view Gaucho as a racist term (I honestly have never heard it used as one).  If I portrayed the Germans as racist at all in my post I apologize as not my intent. I have nothing but love and respect for Germany and the German people.

can we keep it on topic?

its about the WC girls

Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)

I think that's racist against women.

Germany will easily win every qualifying match.. I'm not saying this because they won WC2014, but because the other group D teams simply don't stand a chance against the almighty Muller...

Or maybe because they did the same thing last time against even stronger teams :P

(btw Müller hasn't even shot 5 of these 34 goals)
