Yup. Brazil was the better team! Despite passing the ball at times like the players were blindfolded, despite having lower ball possession, despite some players shooting like dumbasses and missing some obvious goal opportunities ( * cough* Hulk * cough*).... Despie all that shit, Brazil was still the better team!

Like people said, the "better team" is not always great. Brazil had some AWFUL pass mistakes, and every single chilean attack came from Brazil's mistakes. And yet they failed to score a second goal. If Chile was better, they could've killed the match quickly.

Germany and Ghana ended in a draw, does that mean Germany is not the better team?!

..wait, what are you saying?  I fail to see the relation here...

Because their perfomance was lackluster? Heck, Brazil's first goal wasn't even scored by David Luiz! It was an own-goal!

It was lackluster, but it was still better than Chile's performance. The better team won today. The better team wasn't great, but it was still better.

Don't forget Fred

He got all the big decisons correct imo.  Cldear handball (so so so clear)  and no penalities for either team.

he could easily have booked Neymar (he would have missed the qrt final) and Fernandinho... but didnt.

He deleted a clear goal by Hulk, thus preventing them to win. Had the goal been recognized, there would be no penalites to begin with :/

Also he didnt give an insanely obvious free kick to Brazil when Neymar got fouled near the end of regular time
d

clear hand ball.

open your eyes

it rolls down his arm.  its hand ball all day long.

It hit him between his Deltoid muscle and his chest, so it shouldnt count as a handball by any means.

Are there pics of the hand ball thing?

You said that Chile would have been the better team if they would have killed the match quickly... Well, Germany didn't kill it quickly either.

Chile seemed like they were wasting time to get to penalties till that shot hit the bar. I'm no Brazil fan but Chile definitely got what they deserved lol

I am very sad

I'm just arguing against the "Brazil wasn't the better team" argument. It had a pretty poor performance at second half, but it was still better than Chile, who, again, had tons of chances based on Brazil's LOT of mistakes, and failed to score on ANY of these chances.

And besides, this is knockout stage. Germany x Ghana was first phase. Completely different situation.

Right, time for Colombia to knock Uruguay down to size.

No, south american teams playing again D: good luck for both
