Forums - Sports - The Football Thread - 17/18 Season

South American bias is obvious, or Italian fanboysm is blinding me. Then again, Brazil didn't deserve to be first of their group. Neither Argentina.

Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.

this is the worst world cup i ever saw, shit referee´s , shit decisions...
boring games...
not a single player that surprised us all with awsome football...

Yes, and this match was especially awful. Which is to be expected from a desperation match and a nervous and inexperienced (albeit "okay") Italian team.

With Australia, Italy and Spain eliminated, all the teams that I'm rooting for are gone!.. fuck this word cup!!!

I'm sorry but if you are supporting Italy you aren't welcome to support Australia.

A couple of thing from both games:
1) Suarez should be banned from playing football for the eternity.
2) As much as i love Italy, they are not what they used to be. Pirlo is the best midfielder in the world, though.
3) England...wow. Watching them play makes me wanna cry. But given i hate England it actually makes me cry of happyness. They have no soul or heart.
4) Godín is unbelievable. What a great defender and header.

Lampard was shit this season.

Gerrard was brilliant.

Stop quoting bullshit stats please.

You asked for the stats, I gave you the stats.

Lampard was better in 12-13, Gerrard was better in 13-14. Lampard has been better for the majority of the time both of them have played football.

They are not strikers. Goals aren't the only important thing.

If you can find stats on assits, go for it.

You can't say that, having ended up with 1 point. You honestly cannot say that, with all due respect.

Meh, Italy was a more even game Ill admit.

Uruguay though? No question about it. We were the better team. The differences in that match were Uruguays player not getting sent off for a blatant elbow and Gerrard's stupid header to Suarez. Not to mention our abysmal finishing.

Same goes for this game. Obvious penalty denied mixed in with abysmal finishing.

Well Suarez will be gone for the next match and thus Uruguay will be out no doubt without him.
