The Scouse defence...
Forget Lukaku the fans themselves will be stamping on Lovren.

We're lucky Mourinho is Mourinho, otherwise we might had been embarassed at home. Lovren is a complete disgrace. |
On one hand I'm really sad that we didn't press at Anfield, but on the other hand our backline had Smalling and Darmian in it. And Tottenham conceded with Vertongen and Alderwiereld.
But I think we could've outscored Liverpool maybe..

I find it ironic we're in a day and age where Utd are the defensive team and Liverpool are the offensive team, for decades it was the other way around with Liverpool always having the signature strikers to finish off the chances they get (Dalglish, Rush, Barnes, Fowler, Owen, Torres, Suarez etc...) while United had the insane midfield and attack (Best, Law, Charlton, Hughes, Giggs, Scholes, Cantona, Koncheski etc...) with a shaky defence. It's like the two teams have swapped roles.

Man Utd have scored 22 goals this season in the PL, Liverpool have scored 14. Only Man City have scored more than United this season while Watford, Chelsea, Arsenal and Spurs have all also scored more than Liverpool.
I wouldn't say your assessment is 100% correct. It's just Liverpool are abysmal defensively.

You would have a point if I was talking about goals scored and not playstyles, Liverpool from what I recall have had more shots at goal than most teams the other teams have just had better finishing.
Koeman has gone. Fired. Got the Sack. Get's paid off.
Should have stayed at Saints. :P
Hmm, pie.

FIFA is considering changing the nationality rules so players are allowed to play for more than one country.

Suarez played in a very offensive Liverpool team that created loads of chances. His time was the beginning of the "Oh Shit Defence!" era. Edit: also I believed 80's Liverpool played great offensive football and Dalglish was definitely more of a creator of goals than scorer of. But, I wasn't exactly around to see that to be sure. |
The 80s team were defensive it's what they were known for they just had a very competent strike force that was efficient, Dalglish is Liverpool's 7th top goal scorer with 118 goals in 300 appearances, his role was similar to Cantona and Ronaldo were they could create but were major goal scoring forwards.
Good game against Everton, it was great to see us put up a fight. Thank you Troy Deeney for your words of wisdom! Now do Liverpool next.
