I find it ironic we're in a day and age where Utd are the defensive team and Liverpool are the offensive team, for decades it was the other way around with Liverpool always having the signature strikers to finish off the chances they get (Dalglish, Rush, Barnes, Fowler, Owen, Torres, Suarez etc...) while United had the insane midfield and attack (Best, Law, Charlton, Hughes, Giggs, Scholes, Cantona, Koncheski etc...) with a shaky defence. It's like the two teams have swapped roles.

Man Utd have scored 22 goals this season in the PL, Liverpool have scored 14. Only Man City have scored more than United this season while Watford, Chelsea, Arsenal and Spurs have all also scored more than Liverpool.

I wouldn't say your assessment is 100% correct. It's just Liverpool are abysmal defensively.

You would have a point if I was talking about goals scored and not playstyles, Liverpool from what I recall have had more shots at goal than most teams the other teams have just had better finishing.
