the solution given by that article is stupid, but there's no denying the risk is there. I think it wouldv been better if more protection (ie: rugby head guard) should be given to the players

Make it an option, not mandatory, then sure. Rugby players don't even wear the rugby head guard.

However removing heading the ball is as silly as removing the offside rule. It takes way too much away from the game.

If you concede 2 goals within the same match because you're stupid enough to not mark Sergio Ramos at a corner kick you should just be banned from European football tbh.
