I guess that's why all the jerseys say FIFA.

If Poland wins it was deserved. Germany has a long long history of struggling with the second game in every cup. No one will be surprised if Poland wins.

lol. getting the defence in early. funny.

In the last 5 cups since 2006 Germany won all 5 opening games while only winning 2 of the second games. Die Mannschaft is a great tournament team but always unstable as fuck. I mean we tied with fucking Ghana to win the world cup. If we have to lose to Poland to win the Euro, I'm fine with that.

Another great goal from Payet. Massive respect for Albania they put a lot of effort in the field.

If he doesn't move from West Ham this summer, I'd be surprised.

West Ham has a lot of money to spend. Wouldn't be too surprising to see stick around.

So glad to see Bale's face at the end of the game. Might shut him up for a while

What has he been saying?

No England players could get into the Wales squad, Wales have more pride and passion.

It's very generic stuff, but it's more the smug way in which he said them that annoyed me

Doesn't matter what the jerseys say (all of the countries are members of the UEFA and FIFA), Euro is an UEFA thing. The UEFA threatened Russia and England with exclusion of the tournament.

And damage control before the game already? That's rich after your post that only Germany and Italy know how football is played.

They know how to play football most of the time. And then they choose random matches to just forget everything and play like garbage. That's why they didn't win all of the last 4 cups. But no, they lose to fucking shit like Ghana or Croatia or Spain because they decide to just do nothing in a game anymore. If this happens now in the Poland game it will be no surprise to anyone. And it's not like they need to win against Poland to get far in the cup.

Wales was pretty bad, but England was not that much better.

Typical hater talk. Typical German.

I watched the game on ZDF and the German commentator was already fantasizing about England going home.

Good ol' Germans.

Here's hoping for an England vs Germany match at some point in the tournament

They would have to reach the Semis for that.

Good game in the end.

Hmm, pie.

So do Saints, that doesn't mean we can keep our players when other richer teams offer millions in profit for them. Lovren cost us 8-9 mil, we sold him for 20 mil a year later.

Hmm, pie.

I think the old men of Germany can manage that... dont be so negative.

Let me just say that my initial prediction before the tournament was 50:50 for Germany to reach the quarters and 1:100 to win the cup. It's not the same team it was in the World Cup and they played a lot of shit since then. Their basics are still excellent but that's not enough if you want to win a cup.

Still I think Germany at its best is still able to beat any English team at its best. Now we just have to see if they're stable and confident enough to do that.

It is a bit different for west ham.  Its in London, its a 60,000 seater stadium and they now have 52,000 season ticket holders.  Thats attractive for any footballer now.

True but Champions league is appealing to some too. Then again, where would be go? Not sure he'd fit at some clubs. PSG might splash the cash though.

Hmm, pie.
