Quite a few places are too big for their own good in this game. Was still great though.

As for your two complaints:

1) The Wii U is not as competent as the Wii when it comes to running Wii games, meaning that slowdowns will occur less frequently on the Wii. Agniratha is the only area that pushes the Wii past its limits, but correcting the camera angle usually helps. The Wii U probably struggles in more areas, because that's the case in other Wii games too.

Wait, is this true? I put off putting significant time in Xenoblade because Wii U upscales Wii games. I hadn't heard about performance problems. >_>

If so, I'll just start over and play it.

The game is perfectly playable, you will just get a few annoying moments here and there and just in some specific areas. Bosses for the most part are clean, I can only think of one boss where the frame dropped to "annoying levels".

Last week I made a joke review about Xenoblade Chronicles, I just finished the game and my hype levels were off the roof, but now that I have time I decided to make a real review this time around.

I suck at making reviews, so I will mention things that I liked and didn't like about the game…that sounds about right…

  • The story is really really good…but there are some very cheesy moments.

(Spoilers)

Did you think Shulk and Fiora's kiss was cheesy? Honestly i found that really cheesy XD

Not like there are many slowdowns but if this game runs better on the Wii than the WiiU then I won't get rid of my Wii even if I get a Wii U in the future he he

I agree with this review. Xenoblade is a great JRPG with an awesome soundtrack, unique atmosphere and fun gameplay!

Yeah that part was really bad. The other one was when they hold hands before Egil's last battle haha

Yes, it's true. Although holding off due to upscaling on the Wii U was never worth it to begin with.

Besides, you'll buy a Wii U next week anyway. So what's the big deal?

I started it and saw that Wii U upscales them. I didn't want to get far into an 80 hour game if I could play it in a better way by waiting.

As far as my Wii U ownership, I've actively searching out some of the deals at various retailers but have struck out every time. I do believe I may be inheriting one from a friend in a few months, so there's that.

Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,

Best way to play Xenoblade is in 1080p HD using Dolphin, you can even import your Wii savegame: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RkFTmNTtOvs
