It makes sense, but they did say that they wouldn't have any clones in this game. There might be a possibility though, since Link and Toon Link are both in the game.

Really interesting theory. The only flaw is that so far their has'nt been any clone confirmed in the game (except Mario/Luigi but I and alot of other ppl feel that they are different enough to not be considered clones). This supports what I heard somewhere that they wanted to eliminate clones from the next smash (but idk it's true tho)

But we can't say for sure, maybe they will be clones in the next smash. She could even be a easy DLC.

It technically wouldn't be a clone. The only similarities would be some of the character movements. Bayonetta's moves are completely different.
