The pool to choose from is huge, and now with Smash 4 they have a whole blu-ray worth of space to fill. Why wouldn't they want to include an army of characters?

Pac man would be kool, I loved playing him in that Street fighter vs Tekken game. I wonder if they would give him a similar move set to that.

Because Sakurai #1 Priority is balancing/tweeking characters.

He said this awhile ago, just lookin at the direct, alot of the veterans are shaping up to be much better than past games.

There are 30 announced, 40 should be the minimum at least though

Oh course I'm new lol I've never played it or known anyone that has the game to try it. Nintendo consoles aren't very popular here so you can't blame me for not playing at xD But I'm trying to take the necessary steps to bring myself up to speed with the game. It's actually thanks to PS all stars that I'm interested in this title hahaha weird I know.

Yeah there are a ton of characters with no moveset prior to becoming a playable character, tis is why Sakurai is like a miracle worker :P

Once you get this game its a wrap, best fighting! Played literally 10k+ hours on the franchise o.O  

This and Street Fighter 2 are by far the most competitive fighters. You got alot to learn, this game is easy to pick up and is a ton of fun, but to master...... Yeahhhhh :0
