I don't know man, I haven't seen a Kart racer looking this good at 60FPS on consoles at 720p yet, I mean, I don't know what the fuck Rare or Media Molecule are doing these days, but they sure haven't topped MK8 yet on awesomeness. Hell, they never even topped MKWii on actual gameplay on duct taped Gamecubes, so I don't know if graphics is really the key thing, then again, I actually do play a lot of games that are spread across different platforms, so maybe I just don't see games the same way as a company focused person.


Youre the one talking about different companies and studios so clearly you are focused more on that than the facts which DF presented.

Expected. The AA thing is really funny. Just shows how far ahead of other devs Nintendo is, they don't have to use the common tricks of the trade to make their game look outstanding.

Wanna fight about it, show me any 720p game with no AA that looks as good as Mario Kart 8.

I'm with you, I thought the game was supossed to push the Wii U to it's limits... I am seriously thinking on cancelling my pre-order. You can't play a game if your eyes are puking.

what fact ? it was never a fact.. like you said just rumored to be 1080p. no one is playing dumb here except children on forums who talk and believe in whatever someone says and know nothing about tech..sure people are going to be excited just to prove the others (PS,XOnations) that Wii U is worth it and it is. MK was never about graphics its about fun and for now its the best looking game on Wii U and Nintendrons have the right to be excited about it just like Sonydrons are about anything and everything that is released on playstation even if it is a peanut.

A little bit of a downer. I like the fact that they spend a whole paragraph saying how 59 frames per second was so noticable, but games with frame rates that fluctuate or run at lower speeds they tend to completely ignore or praise the system that runs it better. Thought that was a bit funny.

720p native, 1080p upscaled is also a bit of a downer. Especially when they didn't use any AA. So the jaggy edges are going to be appearant.

Still looks like an awesome game. Played it at Gamestop and had fun, and can only imagine playing at my house and online will bea blast.

Is the wiiu even more powerful then the ps3/360. GT5 and wipe out both run at 1080p/60fps with AA, more detail and better graphics, the wiiu hardware makes me sad.
