Forums - Gaming - Does Sony win every generation by default?

If you put it that way, basically.
However, like you said, there are exceptions in which Sony doesnt win. In fact the argument could be made that Sony was the biggest loser last Gen, losing a large chunk of its PS2 audience to both Nintendo and MS. So not always, but 3/4 wins are pretty good for a console maker.

You mean 2/3 wins, right?

Stop hating and start playing.

Well barring a miracle, it looks like they're going to run away with this gen too.

3/4 is better than "not bad", it's pretty freaking great, especially when it looks like all of their console victories aren't even going to be a contest, they're just full on routs and the one they did lose they still will hit 90+ million LTD.

Nintendo and Microsoft has capital (money). I'm actually surprise that Sony is attending E3. Simply put, Nintendo and Microsoft can change its outcome but it's going to take money. Sony has third party developers in its back pocket. Microsoft needs to fallow Nintendo lead with exclusives. Nintendo is doing it big with exclusives and it will only get better. That's out of Sony's league right now.

That's the stupidest thing I've read all day.

Sony CEO announce pay cuts.  I think it's stupid they are going to E3.

Er, lol those pay cuts are largely symbolic. Sony can finance a $200 million dollar film like Spider-Man 2, E3 is a drop in the bucket, lol. You are really out to lunch.

PS4 is one of their hottest products, of course they are going to be at E3 to push its momentum even higher.

Unlike Microsoft they have strong presence in all three major regions.

Funny ass shit.  Since when has Microsoft had a strong presence in Japan?  I can't take your post seriously.

I think you mis-read that.

You really have no idea do you lmao, E3 is chump change even to Sony. CEO price cuts are more of a punishment for their lack of success, it's setting an example to shareholders that they're serious about getting shit sorted and wont get full pay until such times.

Exactly, Sony just invests 200+ million into China for the PS4 and he's suprised Sony would spend a few million on E3? lmao

Two things: the sony has not won this gen, people completely disregard portable to assert that sony won something.

She always lost in portable and won twice in the home console. That's it.

Never was the company that sold more games, rarely was the company that most profited .

A Pyrrhic victory

If its gonna make you feel better, PS4 will probably end up outselling 3DS and WiiU combined. Just like PS2 outsold GBA and GC combined.

And the 8th gen marks their 3rd console victory

You dont know what pyrrhic victory is
