Hopefully remastered means remade, the GTA3 style games aren't that good. They sold well on the PSP, but aside from niche games and ports, there was nothing else on the system at the time.  If remastered actually means they're being ported, they should have ported over Chinatown Wars instead. Much better game.  DS and PSP owners should purchase Chinatown Wars if they haven't played it.

I feel they'd need a lot of work to play right on PS Vita. I guess the 2nd analogue stick should go a long way

If Sony paid for these games to be ported they shouldn't have even bothered.  If people wanted them on the Vita they could have easily, and probably did, purchase them digitally from the PS Store one of the many times they've been on sale.  I'm also not sure which, but one of the two was available free on PS+.

As for amazing for their time?  I don't agree that even when they were brand new they were amazing.  The GTA 3 style GTA titles have always had an awful lock on which makes combat close to unplayable.  If you haven't played it, check out Scarface the World is Yours or Driver Parallel Lines, both on the PS2 and Xbox, and both of which were later ported to the Wii.  Driver Parallel Lines had a good storyline, great city design, and while the gameplay used auto aim, it's usage was as good as games like Tomb Raider.  Scarface the World is Yours has probably the worst city design of a sixth gen open world game, but a lot of explorable areas within the game, really good missions, and amazing gameplay with extremely fluid third person shooting combed with auto aim that was ripped off and later used on GTA4, GTA5, and RDR.  Just my opinion, though.

I couldn't possibly agree more.  They already paid R* for one of these games on PS+.  Mobile got GTA SA like not even 6 months ago.  Vita is such a 2nd class console citizen when it comes to games and effort.

Lol @ "box art leaked". The "box art" hasn't even the logo, only a mention of the Grand Theft Auto name in very small letters at the bottom.

But if this comes to Vita I'll buy it.

Edit: Thought this was some Chinatown Wars thing. Seems it isn't so I won't get it instead. 

If HD and with trophies, I want it.

Even if It's just a port, this is way better than nothing. Vita's below Wii U for crying out loud!
