How does it compare to the PS4's? It's hard for me to be subjective on the matter. After so many years of using the PS3's controller (which felt as cheap as a 50p sandwich) the PS4's feels like it was built from gold

Yeah the PS4 controller feels much more sturdy than the Xbox One controller. Over the past couple of months my opinion has changed and I like the Ps4 contoller much more than the Xbone.
Edit: Opps I didn't mean to call it the Xbone. I know some people find that offensive.
It hurts your thumbs? What? Maybe wear gloves if they're quite sensitive? I've had no issues whatsoever so far.

My fingers slide onto the edges because the button pushes downward everytime with a slight tilt before it clicks. Thats my major issue.
Personally even the old D pad which did suck more, never hurt anywhere close to the DS d pad during Tekken tag nights, so no I do not have that issue with the new pad.... But then again the DS pad to my hands is the worst pad since the Nintendo classic pad... And one of the major reason that there are very little chance of me ever having a PS even if I were to fall in love with Sony and their first party exclusive...

I think a good d-pad is subjective. They will never make something everybody likes.
