Forums - Microsoft - Does anyone else have any problems with the D pad on the Xbox One?

This is getting really irritating. They fixed the D-Pad's ability for executing quarter circles and z shifts and back forwards, but it hurts to do so. Sometimes instead of just tapping the D-Pad I would slide my finger like I do on Playstation controllers. Craziest thing is by my eight match on the Xbox One my fingers start to hurt from using the D-Pad. Does anyone else get this type of feeling or is it just me? I mean, when I played my guitar for the first time my fingers hurt and I was told by my teacher that my fingers would get calloused and adapt to playing on steel strings, but with the controller it gets like this after about a month. Hopefully they get some sort of sleeve for the D-Pad but it hurts like hell on my thumbs. I tried switching to the stick like I did with the 360, but in Killer instnct the motions require quicker and more precise movement than Tekken sometimes because you heavily rely on moving, whilst prepping for an opener in Killer Instinct.  Any tips? As nice as the D-Pad Looks it is hell on the fingers. Not comfortable at all.

Personally, I find no issues with the One's d-pad. Is it better than Nintendo's? No. Better than 360's? Yes! Just my opinion though.

None so far.

Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)

I have found no problems with mine either. Also I use the stick for playing Killer Instinct because to me it just feels better.

Yeah, I am definitely going to have to invest in a stick for my Xbone. I don't think I will need it if Blaz Blue comes to my Playstation 4.

The whole controller is uncomfortable outside of shooters.

I dropped the controller once and the batteries flew out of it like missiles. Unstable, bad quality material. It feels like its going to break sometimes. The mold feels nice though.

Actually I take what I said previously back. I agree with Stage that the X1 controller feels really cheap.

I play KI with the D-Pad and get no problems... sometimes I use the analog stick though.
