Have to attack the PS4 somehow =P
Seriously though it really only looks terrible because of the boom from NA/EU. While its not doing great in Japan its definitely doing expectedly. Sales will be up YoY for 2015 and 2016 as Japan will finally have games worth the purchase. Not only will big dev teams have moved over but so will all the smaller dev teams that are key in Japan.

Probably due to two main reasons;

1: It's selling terribly in Japan right now.

2: Having a go at the fanbase of a product that is currently winning the console wars, we saw the exact same thing with the Wii.

Well the gen being on a decline is kind of expected the way the smartphone boom turned out their, however you have to consider the years on the market for those platforms. 7th gen should be by far the biggest everywhere, it lasted like 8 strong years. Most barely push past 5 strong years.

True, but wats worse with this gen already is its looking to do much worse than the 6th gen as well, and that had just 1 Handheld. (sold 44.6mil)

probably becasue the PS3.WiiU & PS4 are all selling the same weekly sales and the XBOX is nowhere to be seen,

Nothing compares to the beast of the PS2 in the home console space. It outsold the Wii and PS3 combined in Japan.
