Why do people keep saying that the PS4 is doomed in Japan?

Well the gen being on a decline is kind of expected the way the smartphone boom turned out their, however you have to consider the years on the market for those platforms. 7th gen should be by far the biggest everywhere, it lasted like 8 strong years. Most barely push past 5 strong years.

True, but wats worse with this gen already is its looking to do much worse than the 6th gen as well, and that had just 1 Handheld. (sold 44.6mil)

And a PS2 =P

Nothing compares to the beast of the PS2 in the home console space. It outsold the Wii and PS3 combined in Japan.
