Japan and consoles at this point have more in common with the interest in the white speck in chicken shit.

PS4 will pick up like vita did when games like Final fantasy, Resi evil, Deep down,. Project beast, Kingdom hearts one and it will be the #1 console in japan. There will be more games we don't know about as well, japan is always slower switching gens.

Talk about knee jerk reactions.

Maybe FFXV will boost sales. FFXIII was very popular in Japan, Famitsu readers declared it the best game ever the month after it launched (lol!)

Do you all have memory problems? You were too young at the start of last gen?
For a while it seemed like the PS3 would never catch the 360...and yet it did.
For a while it seemed like the XBox would never get any traction...and yet the 360 did.
And so on. Let the generation play out instead of making one brain dead thread after the other about "Will X be a failure / ever catch up with / lalalala".

Forget 3DS numbers (it'll sell 19mil-22mil lifetime), it most likely wont come close to ps3 numbers (ps3 should hit 10mil lifetime when discontinued)

It'll catch it somewhere between late 2015 and Fall 2016.

It probably will catch the Wii U eventually. It would surprise me if it does not. There will simply be too much continuous content on the PS4 later in it's life-cycle that the Wii U won't have an answer for.

At that point, we can start complaining about how Nintendo has abandoned the Wii U and how third parties are still making games for the PS4 rather than supporting the PS5.

It'll catch up, but i still think no earlier than end of 2015.

PS4: 574k
WiiU: 1736k

WiiU is up ahead by 1162k and with MK8 release week that gap should widen it by alot.

From now to the end of the year we can see maybe PS4 sell between 200k-400k and WiiU 500k-700k.
That can potentially leave a gap of between 1.3mil-1.8mil difference.

Do we have release years for Kingdom Hearts III or FFXV yet? Anyway ps4 can close the gap but wiiu will sell another 400k-800k in 2015 so PS4 would need to do 1.7mil-2.6mil in 2015 alone, something vita hasnt done yet!
