This question is far too difficult to answer at the moment. Until we see the release and performance of more PS4 games aimed towards Japanese audiences, we simply don't have enough to realistically gauge the PS4's success.

Wii U will outsell PS4 in 2014, but I think in 2015, PS4 will start to gradually turn the tables, simply because Nintendo will have spent most of its big IP, whereas Japanese third parties will eventually start releasing more PS4 games (they have to if they want to sell their games in the West).

That said, as I've stated from the get go, both are going to be flops in Japan. You guys are just wasting a lot of time arguing over a cripple fight. Neither can save Japan's console industry.

Honestly I think Nintendo will launch a portable/console hybrid in 2016, that will basically take the place of the entire Japanese portable and console market, it will be one platform with all of Nintendo's IP + Dragon Quest + Monster Hunter + Yokai Watch and it will let Japanese gamers play on the road like they want with the optional feature of playing on their TV if they wish.
