Nintendo not having a conference this year isn't a mistake. The reality of it all is that people who watch E3 mostly watch it online. The conferences are for the press. Nintendo is simply by passing the press and delivering E3 news directly to us gamers. That's all. This seems like a good idea to me. Nintendo wouldn't need to worry about on-stage glitches and technical problems. They wouldn't need to worry about all the other things that happen during live shows.

 

Who do I think is going to win this year's E3? Well, my opinion won't mean much because I'm already a Nintendo fan. However, based on some of the rumors coming out, I'm hearing Sony and Microsoft are planning to use this E3 as a way to warm up for next E3 - partly because several games are going to be delayed; many of which until 2015. Meanwhile, Nintendo has some pretty heavy hitters coming out this year. So, it seems pretty obvious to me that Nintendo may win.

I will go against the trend and say Ubisoft. Their shit has been pretty strong lately (Rayman Legends, AC 4, South Park, Trials Fusion, Child of Light, Watch Dogs) and I think they will continue with a strong line up (next AC, Far Cry 4, The Crew, The Division and other unannounced games)

The problem with live conferences is not just those little accidents. Overall Nintendo will be able to control their message way better with the digital event. They lose the opportunity to display people wet hype over the new zelda, but in return they are going to put up a better show. This year, i think that's more important.

Besides, i think their line up is better. So nintendo.

Nintendo has the big hitters that we know already would be there. Zelda U alone can win E3 and I am not kidding. Bayonetta 2, X & Super Smash Bros, hot damn. That's not even the games that we don't know about. I'm calling it now, Nintendo won E3.

Tough call. Sony, I think, "won" 2012. Nintendo "won" 2013. My guess is that Nintendo will win again this year.

I expect more info on Smash, Bayonetta, "X," Fire Emblem, and Yoshi, plus new announcements involving Zelda and Animal Crossing. Those, coupled with the bullets Nintendo still has in it's magazine, i.e., Metroid, NFC, Star Fox, Wii Sports, etc., should be enough to claim the blue ribbon.
