Nah, he's just trolling. Which is bad, because he's not being particularly creative or interesting with it. =^/

nope, neither of both. if the next X trailer proves, or at least indicates, there is something of a "vast" story behind it, i will buy a wii-u solely for that game. but as long it only shows a vast world to explore, nintendo can keep it's system. and just for the record: to me "vast storywise" looks something like this:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WwsNvpoDXwk and not like that: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HW4j9EXiMZg

Nobody cares. Your posts have already cost you whatever credibility you may have brought to the conversation: your criticism of the developer's product is entirely based on a meme about the publisher which predates many of this site's posters and was tired when the Genesis was retired, you clearly care so little about the developer whose work you claim to love that you didn't know that they were outright purchased by Nintendo roughly eight years ago, and your demands for complex plus deep storylines and accusation that Nintendo is primarily for elementary school children is juxtaposed with your fourth-grade-level spelling and grammar. I have expended more thought in the thirty seconds it took to type this post than you have in the multiple posts it took to take this thread so far off topic, and it should be noted I have spent those same thirty seconds watching a baseball game.

In short, your opinion is as weak as your grasp of the English language, in the future you would benefit from spending a minute at Wikipedia before attempting to sidetrack a thread, and I speak for the majority when I say it would be to the benefit of everybody if you ceased posting in this thread, and that includes yourself.

Also, without even clicking on your links I can regretfully inform you that Xenosaga is a pretentious and boring mess best suited for stoners and philosophy majors, and that humanity's future became a little brighter when that series ended.

I was going to moderate him but this ass-whooping is punishment enough.

Aside from his first post, the rest isn't unreasonable and he actually gets attacked personally and you approve it?....

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

We'll let the English comments slide, as I think we've both demonstrated our ineptitude in the other's tongue. Although we're not posting on a German website. Just sayin'... The rest of my post stands though. But I agree: seeing as how this side conversation is based on false premises and incorrect stereotypes, I trust it will be left well enough alone, and we can return to the original topic.

Also, to bring myself back on topic, I think the second team has been too busy assisting others on their projects, but in time I expect they'll churn out more handheld games.

Speaking of stoners, what the hell are you smoking? XenoSaga was brilliant. Very easily one of the most interesting storylines that ever existed in a videogame. I wish more RPGs would make such a focus on weaving in storylines with this level quality content and development.

Although I can see how someone (such as yourself) who views academic pursuit in a negative light as being incapable of enjoying a great science fiction story.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

is it a bad thing that there is one series (i mean the games up to xenosaga 3) on the market that is targeted to those people? i guess not. but i can tell you what's bad. it's when this one series is taken and the part where it shined the most, where it was and still is superior to anything else, is downgraded to what it is/seems to be today.

I would need several buckets if they announce Baten Kaitos 3. Part 1 was a classic.

Exactly!!

I've been hoping for part 3 for years, but it seems they won't revive the series.

They have never denied a 3DS game.  Conversely, they have released some concept art for a game which may or may not be for 3DS:

They've also made no indication they're developing one either. Those are pieces probably aren't for any game.

I think we will hear about the 3ds game at Tokyo Game Show this year. I think we will get a release date for X this e3 along with a new trailer.

Nintendo doesn't attend TGS. If they had a 3DS game it would be announced at a Direct.

As long as you accept that your statement of them not having a 3DS game was completely basseless and just opinion.  I still think they are working on one.  The concept art I posted has a consistent theme of a girl and strange creature in a creepy forest.  It could be part of X, it could be something new or just a daydream, but two seperate versions of the same theme implies to me it's something that's being fleshed out.  And Nintendo does like to have versions of franchises on both systems, and 3DS is ripe for a good JRPG, especially in Japan.
