Fifa too (and probably other sport games). Despite being minority there are more 60 FPS games in PS3's top 10 best selling games than 30 FPS ones.

On another front 9 out of the PS3's top 10 most critically acclaimed exclusives run at 30fps ^^ (with the other being a target 60fps game, not a locked one).

| F0X said: 60 fps is preferable for pretty much any game that isn't aiming for cutting-edge, hardware-pushing 3D visuals in the first place. Which is 99% of all games ever, so 60 fps should be standard. :/ For the opulent 1%, I at least expect some measure of stability. Dipping below 30 fps is agonizes me immensely, and I'm quite frustrated that 2013's two big GOTY candidates (TLOU and GTAV) had that problem. Ugh. At least TLOU is getting a PS4 version, which is nice. I might jump on that sometime within the next two years. |
TLOU didn't have much of that problem. The dips were pretty rare and barely noticeable. But as usual, the internet tries to blow this out of proportion.

That's because the money needed for the other 30 FPS was spent on something else.
Reviewers are graphic whores confirmed.

30fps + visuals tends to cost more :P
Really though, reviewers could give two shits about visuals if the game is bad. Killzone:SF and Ryse are two of the most graphically intensive next-gen games available and neither was reviewed particularly well (also worth noting that Killzone's MP is target 60fps ^^). Likewise infamous, arguable the most technically impressive of them all, while reviewed well didn't receive a score that would align with its visual placement.
All ten of those PS3 games were reviewed well and sold well. That's pretty damning evidence that while yes, 60fps can benefit many types of games, as long as the final combination of performance, graphics, art and atmosphere are good, then neither consumers nor reviewers could give two shits if the frame rate is 30fps or 60fps.

1080p 60FPS > 720p 60FPS > 1080p 30FPS > 720p 30FPS
I'm expecting future games will at least hit 60fps.
I do not think this gen will have the same frame rate and resolution as last gen. I'm hoping it's going to get better as time passes.
I wish most games were 60 fps. It just makes my eyeballs smile. It just has a certain fluidity that, to me, is always more impressive.

I guess Ocarina of Time has less gameplay than all those recent 60fps games....
