a question for people that want Iwata leave: who will replace him?

You don't need expertise to identify the problems, but it's not our job to find his replacement. They need someone better.

I smell like the dark forest of Dwemereth in the morning mist                                                   fanboy til i'm bankrupt

Firing is harsh. I say make him into a low level supervisor, making sure employees are on time, doing their jobs and doing paperwork.

Make Sakurai the president, Miyamoto would be good but he is a bit old and might retire soon

At a age of 54 Iwata is actually the youngest person on the board of directors at Nintendo, the average age of members being 67.

This is the biggest problem right here.  Everyone is old.

Actually I made a mistake using the old board of directors.   Iwata retired some representative directors last year and added some younger blood too.

He is no longer the youngest member and the average age is now ~58.7.  Kaz and Iwata are also aound the same age.

It's not like Kaz is a great example for a Japanese CEO. He'll be replaced shortly if he doesn't start doing better.

Oh my gosh! Drew Brees threw five interceptions against the Falcons. Get rid of him.

If Brees starting throwing 1TD/5INT in like 8 consecutive games, there's obviously wrong and alternatives may need to be looked at.

I was just contrasting the age of the 2 leaders and not much more.

I also added some info about the ages of directors to my original post, so I'll add that here too.

Satoru Iwata - 53
Genyo Takeda - 64
Shigeru Miyamoto - 60
Tatsumi Kimishima - 63
Kaoru Takemura - 67
Shigeyuki Takahashi - 59
Satoshi Yamato - 55
Susumu Tanaka - 60
Shinya Takahashi - 49
Hirokazu Shinshi - 47

I think these are last years numbers so add 1 year to their age.

Kaoru Takemura - 67, is also expected to retire this year and Naoki Mizutani is set to be appointed as a new director.

I like Iwata as CEO.

I doubt it.

But if he does get replaced, I'm gonna miss the Directs ):
