Not too worried yet, so far they've had the Wii U, which s tanking worldwide not Japanese specific. Then the PS4 that they've only had 3 months and has yet to stretch its legs with Japanese specific software.

I'm expecting at best 15M-18M more devices sold. And that being generous. Not even half of the last one.

I didn't add it to the op but gcn/ps2 era had 44.6mil and thats with just 1 portable. Looking terrible overall, imagine if 3ds wasnt a success :0

Yep. Even before launch I said no console will reach its predecessor numbers and we will see a decline, but never imagined to this point.

PS4 is a huge "?" cuz ig might have a chance to do 50%+ of PS3 but its too early to tell as of now.

X1 will easily be over 50% cuz X360 is a mere 1.6mil.

3DS will hit 50%+ before holiday. Vita no way it hits 50% of psp. WiiU obviously wont be hitting 40% of Wii.

Seriously though you shouldn't add home consoles and handhelds together, even worldwide and without counting Wii that would mean a massive decline purely because of the fall of handhelds(and rise of phones/tablet).

If we look purely at home consoles PS4+Wii-U probably won't be far off PS3+ Wii in the long run.

PS3+Wii did 23M

PS4+Wii U will be luck to cross the 12M line

It's not looking too good, but it's very early days for PS4. We don't know what it can do when it gets more games for that market.
