Xbone - The next generation console by Microsoft. Specifically designed to bone as many victims that it can, by deceiving them into purchasing an overpriced 13in black dildo. Pronounced Ex-Bone; A term used to describe the new Xbox One in a derogatory fashion. In what can only be described as having a "boner" for the new xbox release, both fanboys and tech enthusiasts alike were heavily disappointed by the release information for the new console, as well as restrictions on gameplay and always on requirements. Deflating the "boner" as it were that the once excited crowd once had.

It all started with "Xboned", with "boned" meaning... Screwed, Fucked, Caught, Dead, in process of or about to be killed.

As petty as it all is, I can see why Xbox enthusiasts get annoyed at Xbone.

To be honest with you I find it absolutely mind boggling that people actually get offended by someone calling a video game console by a certain name. In this case I use it because to me it sounds the best and it rolls off the tongue good. I believe it is more widely used than any shortened term for XBox One.

It isn't anywhere in the same vein as say "DelayStation" which was used frequently for the PS3, even though back then it did make sense with the constant delays with it's games.

 

Heck, looking at what you wrote I wouldn't be offended at all if I were an XBox fan. I would love to say something like "Damn, that new Halo trailer was bad ass. I got me an XBoner right now!"

No, no, since the Xbox has had two major 180s now (removing DRM and then removing paywall/Kinect-mandatory) it should be referred to as the Xbox 360.

I also dont get why X1 is stupid. I mean who said X1 to the original xbox before the new xbox one was released? noone.
They called it xbox.

So X1 is pretty good. OR Xone if you really cant stand X1 

or what about XBO?

I got absolutely crucified for saying X1 back when I had just joined the site. I don't get why people don't use it either.

So the only option for XBoxOne would be XBO
