Forums - Sales - Prediction: XB1 Kinect will outsell WiiU Gamepad

Which do you think will sell more?

XB1 Kinect 24 22.02%

WiiU Gamepad 85 77.98%

Total:109

thats a weird prediction to make... or at least phrased weird. Maybe if the gamepad was removed from the wii u it would make sense, but right now you are just basically saying there will be more kinects sold than wii u's.

Also, it seems like a pretty safe prediction to me, I'm surprised people are doubting it. Unless the x1 completely tanks like the wii u has, I imagine it will have a similar cycle to the 360, so it will about around for about 10 years. Wii u will have a successor in a year or two and be promptly discontinued. Plenty of time for kinect to sell more.

Do you do stuff like this on purpose to get a reaction???

OP couldn't bear the thought of the Kinect of his beloved Xbox having a worse legacy than the WiiU gamepad -- so he made this thread.

I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016

even if I expect the wii U to only sell between 20-25 mill I think the gamepad will sell more because the 500$ kinect bundle will be discontinued before the end of 2015 for a better bundle and I don't think Kinect will sell much on its own seeing that the motion fad is over

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

I think Wii-U will outsell Xone in total.. and kinnect will not even get half the sales of Upad.

But thats only my opinion.. it mat happen (not)

Im glad Nintendo are at least trying to adress the gamepad, by making games specific to it and using the NFC functions etc. Much better than dropping it altogether, i want to see more of the gamepad and im sure most Wii U owners do too.

I'm going to guess 15m WiiU sales and Nintendo does not drop the Gamepad. So with that Microsoft would need to sell roughly 10m Kinects over the course of the XBO lifetime. A 1 in 5 attach rate with 50m+ sales should guarantee that. So yeah Kinect wins.

15,000,000 Wii U LifeTime? O_O

Sorry, but you prediction for the end of this year is:

Wii U: 10,800,000

...so, you think that in other 4 year Wii U will sold only 4,200,000? .________."

Exactly. At least the Gamepad is good for something.

Nearly all X1 early adopters basically now have a $100 brick.

I'm sure MS will provide an update that will allow them to unplug it -- but the forseeable future they're stuck with a device that really does nothing for them.

Ah, in this case already it might make sense... so now what do you think will sell at the end of this year?
