As many people have said, just build a PC. It's a better value for the money and its really not that hard to do. There's plenty of how-to guides on the internet.

If you read the OP that's not an option apparently ...

Hm, it seems you can't quite make up your mind:
Anyway, sure, with Steam Box you will be able to play some 3rd party games and it has free online, so by all means, do buy it. |
That's taken out of context. I never asked what would be a good machine to play 3rd party games on. It's not a question of "where should I play 3rd party games.

I never said it was hard to do. I said I don't want to do it.

So you want to spend more money for less value? Whatever floats your boat I guess.

He wants your opinion on whether the steam box is good or bad ...

In my opinion its bad, because you can build a PC with the same specs for less. If that's the case, then its a bad value and a bad idea to buy one. If you're really lazy and can't be bothered to do a quick search on the internet for a PC building guide, then I suppose a Steam Box would be good for you.

Exactly.

I agree then ... OP should just go with the steambox since he keeps rejecting the better options. LMAO
He will learn this the hard way and it'll be due to some guys on the internet that made him learn a tough lesson.

At the end of the day its his money & his decision. If he enjoys his purchase then that's really all that matters after all.
