I prefer to not enter a GameStop store if it can be at all avoided. I will buy the game when it comes out, then let the game itself (hopefully) provide the hype I need.

Oh come on! If it's just like the Pikmin 3 event, then a Nintendo rep will be the one running the thing, so you wouldn't even have to talk to the employees at all, assuming that's your problem with the place.

It wouldn't just be for Mario Kart 8 though, as up until June 30th (I think), you can get a free game along with it! Choices vary based on where you live, assuming you live somewhere that has Club Nintendo.

Really? I knew about the bundle with the wheel but I didn't know about the free game.

Looking at it now. I was planning on getting WWHD at some point anyway, so this is some decent incentive for sure. I just wish the free game could somehow be physical so I wouldn't have to immediately eat into the system's limited storage.

Edit: Apparently WWHD is less than 2 GB. This is becoming more and more tempting.

Mario Kart 8 is going to be so awesome! Every track in that game is simply spectacular! Even Donut Plains 3/Mario Circuit GBA look like solid tracks!

I've pretty much decided at this point that I'm going to. Especially since I can get an additional 15% off from Target. I just need to do a little backlog annihilation first so I don't waste $300 like a tool lol
