An update about Tom Clancy's The Division

Agents,

Today we announced that Tom Clancy's The Division will be available in 2015 for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.

Working on The Division is a once in a lifetime opportunity for all of us at Massive, Reflections, and Red Storm Entertainment. We are creating something we are really proud of and we don't want to compromise on quality. We are going to release the game when it's ready.

We want to thank you again for the exceptional ongoing support. Community is at the heart of what we are doing and we’re very much designing the game with you in mind, so your involvement means a lot to us.

The production is getting stronger every day and we can't wait to show you what we’ve been up to at this year’s E3. :)

Massive love,

The Dev Team

Was it ever supposed to release 2014? Didn't know that until now.

It was, however back in January an anonymous developer said a 2014 was 'laughable' and wouldn't never be reached. (source)

First of many titles to miss this year no doubt.

Shame, it looked fairly promising.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

I never expected it to come in 2014...

Did anyone? It was just waiting for this delay. It also really says something it's just '2015', could easily be Q3 2015 or even Q4 for what we know.

Not surprised at all.
2015 seems fine.

ya know. If game development was based more on completion of game vs target dates, we wouldn't have delays.

I mean you have to have a goal in mind of course. But that goal should not be set in stone. As a person on software, its such a tenuous affair. So much can happen at any point in the process to really screw you. I can only imagine the complexity of some of these larger teams for a game as compared to my rather simple (relatively speaking) web apps.

You gotta give Ubisoft credit, if their developers need more time they give it to them.
