FFXIV: Odin.

They got Zentetsuken'd

I have more but you guys listed them already.

I never have any idea what the shit is going on with odin.

It is pretty amusing watching 100+ people get Zentetsuken'd though

The giant spider robot and Odin in FF8 - largely due to the cinematics involved.
Kefka in FF6, and Ultimecia in FF8 due to their battle phases.

I don't really consider FF9, 11, or 14, because while they are in the main series, they are more like spinoff titles in the FF Crystal Chronicles and FF Online series.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

This bastard. At the bottom of Via Infinito after you fight Paragon, you fight Trema...in the same condition you ended with Paragon (who was no cake walk either). I didn't use a strategy guide for FFX-2 and even the current strategies online don't match what I did to beat this guy. I had to do countless trial and error to beat him, since he is maxed out in every attribute and will kill you in 2-3 moves (maybed 1-2, don't remember) if you aren't prepared.

My most memorable encounter in all of Final Fantasy is easily the first fight with Kuja. I think Kuja's design and attitude is completely badass... :P.

Why? The almighty FFIX shouldn't be dismissed simply because it was a throwback to the NES/SNES FF games!

He tamed a rooster, painted it green, and named it Enkido. I'm not making that up, he said that.

I'll take it he named that chicken after his faithful sidekick who presumably died (as in the actual Epic of Gilgamesh)

Well, he lost contact with the dog Enkido on his journey, which is the reason why he tamed the rooster in his place lol.

In retrospect maybe that wasn't the best of videos to prove XII demands hands on strategy :P
Yet as someone who played most of it I know it does. You can't solely rely on team members doing curing and life magic because any Gambit set action has a few second pause......eating up precious time you need to survive. The Gambit acts as a back up but often you have to exact control to rush priority actions.
